Effectiveness of different healing methods.

I had a very interesting conversation with one of my friends on this subject.

The question arose around why some methods are working better for different individuals.

In my world, where I studied Jung’s analytical psychology, everything has to go through the ego. Every thought, experience is filtered through the ego. Depending how the ego is programmed, it will allow or disallow certain information. Further to that, if an idea will be allowed to go though the ego (ego will accept it) it will then be allowed to go though the individual’s consciousness and only then it can enter the unconscious part, as deeply as the ego allows.

So this is how it goes, first is the ego, then, conscious, then unconscious and underneath is collective unconscious. These are the basic’s of Jungian Analytical Psychology.

So my conclusion is that it isn’t the subject of the argument that some healing modalities are better than others. There is such a variety of modalities because different tools work for different people. Some modalities may be more effective than others and it is very likely that they ate, but really all depends on the flexibility of one’s ego.

"The healthy ego is flexible and adaptive, able to adjust to changing circumstances without losing its sense of self". C. G. Jung

The question right now is, what one needs to do, to get ego to do as it’s told. Well, the ego is not a servant and it needs to be trained. I will elaborate on that on a different occasion.

Take what resonates and discard the rest.
